Dear Parent,

We are very pleased to offer your child a chance to apply for the 2025 Rabbi Boruch Abaranok Award for Torah Studies in Israel. This is a very prestigious Award and this year the value of the scholarship is up to $20,000. Note that the Scholarship only covers part of the tuition costs and is paid directly to the Institution.

I am writing to seek your co-operation in providing the following information to support your request for a Scholarship for your child.

Please read the Notes to Applicant Tab prior to providing the necessary information.

Please complete the financial questionnaire below and upload the following supporting documentation:

a. copies of the last two year's tax returns for yourselves and any associated company trusts

b. copies of CentreLink/Social Security statements, where applicable

c. any other documents to support the application eg a letter from the school confirming that the family receives concessional support, confirmation that the parents or carers are not beneficiaries of any trust and do not receive any other income beyond government support and that disclosed in the tax return/Centrelink documentation

The trustees of the Rabbi Abaranok Scholarship prioritise the awarding of the scholarship to a Jewish boy or girl in Victoria who, if not for this award, would be unable to study at an institution of higher Jewish studies in Israel.

Parents or guardians of children who are capable of funding a year of study in Israel for their child either directly, or through extended family or friends, are requested not to apply for this scholarship.

the objectives of the scholarship; and
that your child would not be able to attend a study program in Israel if not for the awarding of this scholarship.
